Workshop on the Osteothai Touch:
when thai massage meets osteopathy

This experiential seminar will introduce the students to the different types of touch and the precision of Osteothai. According to the vision of David Lutt, co-founder of Osteothai, the multidimensional touch is an expression of the different qualities of the four elements: earth, fire, water, and air.
This workshop will give the students a new perspective on how to combine Traditional Thai Massage and principles of osteopathy, to support the system in its self regulation, by precise and different touch qualities

What will you explore in greater depth?

A focused review of the Earth touch (Stability), the defining approach of the Traditional Thai Massage. It represents grounding, rhythmic, and secure pressure. It is expressed through the palms and thumbs to provide support, build trust, and work deeply on the energy lines (Sen).

Introduction to the Fire Touch (Transformation). It is the precise and dynamic touch that generates shifting in the autonomic nervous system and allows greater mobility. It consists in techniques based on rhythm, oscillations, harmonics, repetitive movements: the art of rocking.
